For experienced marketers, maybe one problem you have is a lack of products that you can promote as your own, or a general lack of direction as you’ve gotten spun in 20 different directions by “gurus” along with garbage products giving you poor information. Either way, we have got you covered. You’ve heard the saying, “You don’t know what you don’t know“, right? That may sound silly, but it succinctly describes to perfection the greatest problem that both aspiring Internet entrepreneurs and Christian work from home seekers tend to face.
If you say you care about someone’s health, it sounds OK right? Please don’t be put off by the word wealth. Wealth and greed are not synonyms. Wealth is many things but the financial part doesn’t have to be a dirty secret nor is tied to your personal value. Someone in your home is paying for the internet you read this on and that someone might not mind a little help. We do not advocate hounding friends or family. If you love what a product does, sharing it with someone who needs it is kind; not greedy. It is compassionate.
I'm glad you found the post fascinating, but I wonder how many Americans actually share my views. I know many take offense when people say that America is no longer a Christian nation, but at the very least it seems to be Christian in name only. The American attitude towards business, productivity, and the accumulation of wealth is much different than the rest of the world. As a nation, we seem to value these higher than health, family, and spiritual well-being.
Multi-Student Organizational Discounts. We offer a scholarship to students from any organization that refers multiple students to City Vision in a given year. The scholarship makes tuition $5,000 ($500/course, $266.67/credit hour) for both undergraduate and graduate programs. If an organization does not have more than one student for at least a year, that organization loses it’s scholarship status. If you are with an organization that would like to receive this discount, please contact us.
Successful entrepreneurs look at the world through a lens of opportunity. We want to train the next generation to think entrepreneurially from a young age. Thinking outside of the box, looking for solutions where others see dead-ends and creating new opportunities are just a few of the things needed to succeed as an entrepreneur. Let us help pass this mindset on to your children and teens!
Many community colleges or state schools will advertise “free” or nearly free tuition. Historically, for City Vision students that have applied for a Pell grant, 79% have qualified. For students that receive a full Pell grant, the grant will pay all your tuition making the cost to the student only the cost of books (which is similar to many community colleges or state schools).
Student pursuing academic careers, since many high-end schools may require Ph.D.’s from regionally accredited schools. A very small percentage of jobs (mostly academic) require regional accreditation. For example, a recent search of jobs in Boston showed 19 jobs out of 65,645 total requiring regional accreditation (of which 18 were in academic institutions).
As a Christian affiliate marketer, if a websurfer buys or signs up for a product you promote, you get paid… how cool is that? Whether it is theChristiandude.com, or Amazon, or Best Buy, or Esprit clothing, or Sears, Clickbank, or thousands of other top businesses in the world, or even smaller online Christian Bible, book, and T-shirt stores, they literally pay you to promote their product! Better yet, we teach you how to successfully promote those products. How awesome is that for your Christian home business?
From a Christian social justice perspective, many have called the distinction between regional and national accreditation a cartel that is a major injustice that hurts the poor. Having said that, there are those that still maintain this distinction, so we address their concerns in this section. This letter from Dr. Leah Matthews addresses some concerns about the quality of DEAC accreditation.
I appreciate the fact that Jesus did business and sincerely he might not have been exceptional in his business. As a Jew, he would have charged correctly and moderately for his jobs following the teachings of Moses for business dealings. He wouldn’t have started a business on charity but definitely there would be room for compassionate services. If He did not do well in apprenticeship and carpentry business God would not hand the Kingdom business of saving the world to him. That is the Kingdom rule that He also taught us. Of course, he must have also learnt honesty, so to say, from Joseph whom the Bible referred to as being righteous in Matt 1:19.
How many people obtain a University education, only to graduate and then become unable to find a job in their field of study? How many of those that do find a job end up busting their tail at a company that offers a measly $24,000 per year… just to “get into” their field of study via an entry level position… all in hopes of steadily receiving promotions, so that one day they make $50k to $100k? How many people get into serious debt for their college tuition, in the tens of thousands of dollars?
Have you ever decided to sit down and actually take the time to write your testimony, or post on a Christian discussion board? How about writing an article and posting it somewhere online? Have you posted your testimony or discussed the Word at a website or blog to share with, and encourage others? Do you blog or post on your church website, or various Christian blog’s and forums? Well, did you know that you can market products and prosper through these types of activities in your Christian home business?
Regardless of the success and profitability of a particular idea, the entrepreneur must make good on his commitments and do what it takes to pay off any debts that he may have incurred while pursuing his vision. This financial “sword of Domacles” motivates the entrepreneur to work strategically to best serve people in the market and make his enterprise a success.

Many entrepreneurs desire to become financially independent in order to care for their families, give to the needy, and fund missionary ventures. They have an idea, locate the funds to begin, and take on the responsibility for managing their own companies. When the motivation is honorable, and the business is honorable, God delights to bless it (Psalm 37:23). When an entrepreneur’s motive is selfish or sin-based, the business will not enjoy God’s blessing and may become a hindrance to God’s best plan for the owner’s life. As with all decisions, Christian must seek wisdom from the Lord before taking that first step in establishing a business (James 1:5). Part of wisdom is planning ahead (see Luke 14:28–29). When wisdom says it is a good idea, when all costs have been counted and the priorities are straight, entrepreneurship can be a benefit to the entrepreneur and to the world.
Strive Masiyiwa is a mobile telecoms giant and Zimbabwe’s richest man. He is the founder of Econet Wireless, a company that provides telecommunication services to more than 15 countries on and beyond the African continent. His initial attempts to begin in entrepreneurship were met with hostility from his government, which had a monopoly on communications services at the time. Eventually the government conceded, and demand for his product exploded. Masiyiwa told Forbes magazine that praying hard and giving back are two key elements to his entrepreneurial strategies. To complement this, he also co-runs a Christian charity that has sponsored education, food, and healthcare for more than 28,000 Zimbabwean orphans.
Good post, Brad. I know it was written a while back, but I just came across it. To me, a Christian entrepreneur is one who runs their business to bring honor to God. It may be in the way they deal with customers, what they do with their money, offering quality products, etc. Everything they do, they do to the best of their ability, as it says in Colossians 3:23, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord aned not to men.”
